Third Cortez presents "Cable Street Electric"; an idea that takes inspiration from DIY scenes around the world, but more specifically, the communities that have branched out from an open mic started 4 years ago in Bushwick, Brooklyn named Potion Cafe. CSE aims to create a community and a forum for fresh ideas by holding free events to bring together artists and those who appreciate it, or even those who are just looking to have a good time in good company. This weekly open mic is held on Mondays alternating between its base in Cable Street Studios (Unit B, E1W 3HB) and a friend's penthouse loft just off Shoreditch High Street Station. Cable street being acoustic or electric as amplification will be available, Shoreditch being purely unplugged. The locations are revolving. A network of support and inspiration can be as priceless to an artist as the artist is to the world in which they live. Founded by Katharine Buckett. |
